New safety standard IEC62368-1
Electrical radio/office/IT equipment must comply with the new IEC 62368-1 safety standard after the 20th December 2020. This replaces the previous IEC 60065 and IEC 60950-1 standards and has been completely restructured.
It is based on a new safety approach which interprets that damage can occur when a body is exposed to energy of sufficient strength and duration. The focus is on safe equipment design, since it is important to consider that there is a hazard from possible energy source.
