Microorganisms play a key role in the production, refinement and preservation of cosmetics. Targeted tests in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines, carried out by an accredited laboratory specializing in cosmetic matrices, form the cornerstone with regard to safety assessment, i.e. the analysis of microbiological risks in the manufacture of cosmetic products. Determining microbiological quality involves testing the product for potential contaminants, mostly through routine tests that take into account both quantitative and qualitative specifications, such as the absence of specific microorganisms. A stress test is used to determine resistance to microbial contamination (challenge test).
We offer state-of-the-art procedures with expertise directly from our site in Schönenwerd. The most common parameters we microbiological germ count (TYMC and TAMC) according to the standards ISO and Ph. Eur. are analyzed directly in Schönenwerd. All parameters for water analysis are also included in the portfolio.
